A MESSAGE FROM MICHAEL LINCOLN As your newly elected county judge, I would like to share some information concerning my family and myself. Our family consists of six children, four married, and seven grandchildren. We live on a family farm west of Searcy; our road is a gravel road. We have chickens, cows, horses, goats and a mule. We enjoy the beauty of God’s creation on a daily basis. From captivating sunsets to geese calling and landing on our pond, we are truly blessed. I am honored to have been elected to serve you the citizens of White County. I pledge to honor your trust and work hard for all of the citizens of White County. I’m sure there will be times of disagreement, but those moments will produce the character that has made this county great. I pledge to treat you the citizens, as I desire to be treated. I pledge to respect those who disagree with me. I pledge to be a good steward of the county’s budget, which is supplied by you the taxpayer. As a former public school teacher and administrator, I pledge to work with our county schools. Our schools are setting the standard for other schools across the state. We have been recognized for our academics, to extra curricular activities, to sports. It is my desire that we continue the trend of producing law-abiding citizens, who are productive in our communities. As we begin a new year in White County, the excitement for a new era fills the air. A new era of industrial development as the oil and gas industry expands. A new hope for newly created jobs with the purchase of the Whirlpool plant. A new distinction as Harding University expands yet again with a new pharmaceutical program. A new sense of accomplishment as our public and private schools once again rise to the top both academically and in the area of extra curricular activities. A new sense of unity and cooperation as newly elected officials take office. As I witnessed and participated myself in pledging to support our National and State Constitutions, we all ended with the words...so help me God. May we all join together to invoke God's help to bring White County to her most shining moment. Go to the next article.
