Publisher's Note - June+July “Surround yourself with positive people.” What a difference that can make in anyone’s life. We are fortunate at Searcy Living that our paths, most of the time, cross with so many positive people. Whoever knew that such a small town could have so many stories that truly change the future of this community for the better. That is not to say that there are not problems to overcome. But there always seem to be people in this community willing to serve and give the rest of us the opportunity to join a charity, committee, or a day of service. The opportunities are everywhere. I cannot talk about positive people without mentioning Jim and Stephanie Carr on our front cover. The story will tell you a little about the Carr’s, but I remember meeting them years ago and thinking about how welcome they made me feel as a new member of the business community. I remember attending Dr. Carrs 90th birthday five years ago and being amazed at all God had used him to accomplish in the thirty-seven years they have lived in Searcy. I hope that thirty-seven years from now we can look back at Searcy Living and see that God has used this publication to have a positive impact on your life. Thank you to the Carr family for being a positive example for this community and for this magazine.
