This film has had mixed reviews since its release in theaters late last year, and I have mixed feelings about it as well. The movie is based on the true story of Chris Garner (Will Smith), a medical scanner salesman during 1970’s San Fransisco, who runs into tough times. After his wife leaves him and his son (Jaden Smith), Garner is left poor and often homeless. But through every test he remains optimistic and finds a way to survive while pursuing a solid job. This movie is worth seeing and I rate it with 3.5 stars.
