by Charles, Gena, Trey & Dashawn Glenn Dashawn was placed in foster care upon leaving the hospital after his birth. He went to the foster family of Chris and Tricia Kauffman. Dashawn was also blessed with a foster sister, McKinley. For nineteen months, the Kauffman family loved and nurtured Dashawn as if he was their own child. We will forever be grateful to them for their love and care of our son. In late July 2008, we met Dashawn for the first time. We immediately fell in love with him. He was so full of life, and his laugh was contagious. He had the cutest smile that drew us to him. We knew after that first visit that he was meant to be our son. It sounds like a fairy tale, but we just knew this was meant to be. In August 2008, at nineteen and a half months old, Dashawn came home to live with us forever. We fostered him in our home for six months, then, on March 5, 2009, Dashawn officially joined our family. We gave him the name Dashawn Jaydell Glenn. We knew when we laid our eyes on Dashawn that God had a plan for his life and that we were to be a part of that. We will do our best to ensure him a safe and loving Forever Family.
