SEARCY, AR - Zion Climbing Center will once again hold an indoor climbing competition. The event is open to climbers ages 12 and up and will be held at the Searcy, Arkansas location on Saturday, March 27th, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The event themed "the Comp formerly known as..." is also being used as a catalyst to make the climbing community aware of Zion's new name. Formerly Zion Rock Gym, Zion Climbing Center is the new, official name; the center has also submitted an application to be classified as a Section 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization. The event cost $30 to participate, $40 if registering day of, and the fee includes a sponsored meal and T-Shirt. Climbers compete against other climbers in their appropriate age/skill divisions for various awards. "'Comps' are such a blast! I love coming in and seeing new holds, routes and meeting new climbers. The competition is fun and laid back, but definitely challenging as well. It's just an awesome time all around." said Emily Hudkins, Chairperson of Zion's board of directors.
