Main Street Searcy and the Certified Arkansas Farmers' Market (CAFM) are pleased to announce the opening of the Searcy Farmer's Market to be held in Spring Park beginning Saturday, June 6, 2009. The CAFM Searcy Farmers' Market will kick off at 7:00 a.m. with the ringing of the "fair trade bell" on Saturday, June 6. There will be a ribbon cutting, live music, and activities; along with certified Arkansas growers selling their products in the south area of Spring Park. Summer operation hours will be Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7:00a.m.-noon or until the goods are gone. The will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, April 28, at 6:00 p.m. in the Carmichael Community Center (801 S. Elm Street) for interested farmers, volunteers, and community members. Refreshments for the meeting will showcase in-season Arkansas produce.
