We are honored to have the opportunity to raise the POW/MIA flag at the Searcy Central Fire Department. We appreciate the sacrifices the men and women of our military have made while serving our country in all wars. We have the utmost respect for those that were prisoners of war and the missing in action. We are proud to have a POW/MIA flag join the other flags at the Searcy Fire Stations. Members of Rolling Thunder® Inc. Chapter 1 Arkansas wish to thank the Searcy Fire Department for welcoming us to fly the POW/MIA flag at the Searcy Fire Department. We are looking forward to Saturday's ceremony January 16th at 1:00 P.M. The event will include an opening ceremony with presentation of colors by Rolling Thunder® Inc.; a history of the Rolling Thunder® Inc. organization to be followed by the presentation of the POW/MIA flag. After the flag has been raised the ceremony will conclude with a prayer. The major function of Rolling Thunder® Inc. is to publicize POW/MIA issues by educating the public that many American prisoners of war were left behind after all previous wars, and to help correct the past and to protect future veterans from being left behind should they become prisoners of war or missing in action.
