![]() Aaron's 3-Day Branson Getaway In this series we will help you plan your next getaway or family vacation from restaurant and hotel reviews to entertainment you'll have to experience along the way. Keep checking back for new places to plan your own backyard vacation. We might even throw in a couple deals for your stay! Now on to my getaway. Talk about a backyard vacation, that's exactly what Branson, Missouri is. You'll feel a 1,000 miles from home, but you'll only travel around 4 hours. Branson offers many different attractions. It's not just for the fan of Ozark flavor anymore. Fine dining, beautiful resorts, great fishing, amusement parks, water parks, museums, shopping, and more await you and your family. Did you get all that? Here's a guide to just a few of the places I stopped! HOTEL GRAND VICTORIAN The Hotel Grand Victorian offers elegance and comfort at affordable rates right on the 76 Strip. They were generous and offered our Backyard Resorts readers a deal. Go to our Coupon Gallery to download 15% off your stay. You can make reservations here. BRANSON CAFE ![]() We were there during breakfast hours and all we tried was their biscuits and gravy. Priced good at $2.99, but low on taste. The rest of their breakfast menu was a little on the pricey side, but their lunch and dinner menu was reasonable. MR. B'S ICE CREAM PARLOR ![]() This is a great place to stop for anyone with a sweet tooth or an interest in history. Mr. B’s is one of the only few original ice cream parlors left in the United States. Bonnie and Clyde stopped there just before they were killed. Another interesting note is that Mr. B’s is as far north as Yarnells Delivers. Cool - literally! This is a must stop for anyone going to Branson. ALL AMERICAN CAFE ![]() Obviously, this place is decorated in an All-American theme. It has a great family atmosphere and a price that is sure to fit anyone’s budget. This is another must stop in Branson. They have great onion rings, good burgers, and make sure you save room for dessert. You have to try their caramel apple pie! Their pie is so good it’s addictive. In fact, I'm craving it right now. I highly recommend eating here. DANNA'S BBQ & BURGER SHOP ![]() This is a uniquely designed building that you have to see to believe. Just order the smoked pit plate which includes: pulled beef, half chicken, pulled pork, smoked sausage, ribs, beans, coleslaw, french fries, and Memphis rolls. Good for two people with a large appetite to share or for a family of four. You need to try the BBQ Nachos for an appetizer, too. You won’t be sorry that you went to Danna’s. 2 thumbs up! SILVER DOLLAR CITY ![]() Most everyone has at least heard of Silver Dollar City. This place is great. Rather than boring you with words, I think the pictures speak for themselves. A must-visit. Go to their website for all the details. Now it's time to go with your family and friends! Until the next Backyard Resort, Aaron |
