This recognition is based on the results of J.D. Power's 2009 National Auto Insurance Study, in which Shelter was ranked number three among auto insurers with highest customer satisfaction. The study is based on 22,930 responses from auto insurance policyholders. It measures customer satisfaction with auto insurance companies across five factors. In order of importance, they are: interaction, policy offerings, billing and payment, price and claims.
