METHANY ACCEPTS NEW POSITION AT HARDING

SEARCY, Ark. - President David B. Burks announced Friday the appointment of Glen Metheny as the new director of business professional studies. The promotion is effective with the beginning of the fall semester Aug. 25.

Metheny will direct the Master of Business Administration program in the College of Business Administration. He will also continue to direct the Degree Completion Program at the University.

"I believe moving the degree completion program into the College of Business Administration will allow Harding to create synergy between the two programs which serve adult learners in the business profession," said Burks. "I'm certainly happy that Glen has accepted this expanded leadership role."

Previously the Degree Completion Program was part of the College of Education.

Metheny has been a member of Harding staff since 1996. He was initially a member of the Admissions Office staff, serving as associate director before moving to the Degree Completion Program in 2007. Prior to joining Harding, Metheny worked two years in public accounting.

He holds both the B.B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from Harding.
