GOODWILL NAMES NEW CEO

Goodwill Industries of Arkansas, Inc. announces the retirement of CEO, Johnnie Taylor, effective September 4, 2008, after 36 years of service to persons with disabilities in the state of Arkansas. Goodwill has selected Brian Itzkowitz as our new CEO. Most recently, Brian was Vice President of Retail Operations at Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, where he was instrumental in growing the agency over 50% in less than 5 years.

Brian aims to grow Goodwill's Mission Services to help more people in Arkansas with disabilities and disadvantaging conditions overcome their barriers to independence through Goodwill's Triple Bottom Line: Mission Services, Financial Stewardship, and Continuing Goodwill's History of Reduce, Recycle and Reuse.

Mr. Itzkowitz has over 15 years of senior management experience and has been active in his community by serving on the Boards of other not-for-profits, coaching sports including Special Olympics, and fundraising activities. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in International Finance and Marketing from the University of Miami. He brings a fresh perspective to our organization to ensuring our continued growth and ability to serve more Arkansans.
