In the school year of 1985, a new guy had started his first year at Kensett High School. He soon became friends with a male friend of mine. It was in February when this mutual friend that we both shared came to me and asked for a favor from me. I ask what his favor could be. He says, "You know the new guy that is in our math class?" " His name is Wesley Fulks," "Yeah," I reply. "Well his birthday is the 25th of this month." I asked "What about it?" Our friend says, "For his birthday he wants me to get him a date with you.'' I didn't know what to think, "No! I don't think so." I replied. "You have to do this for me. A date with you is all that he wants for his birthday." replied, the friend. "I guess I will, you owe me and you're going with us too!"

On February 25, 1986, I set out on my adventure of being the birthday gift/date for Wesley. What he didn't know was that this date was my first official real date. Wesley and I continued to date from that day forward.

August 25th 1987, on the first day of our junior year of school Wesley and I married during our lunch break. Twenty years and one child have past and this photo book will show you that the birthday gift to you Wes was actually a life long gift to me.
