The Wives Of Armor Stuff The Squad Car Event

The Wives of Armor, Chapter E, held a “Stuff the Squad Car” event on June 9th to collect items for the Child Safety Center of White County. The Child Safety Center of White County opened its doors in April of 2008 as the tenth child advocacy center (CAC) in the state of Arkansas. There are currently 13 child advocacy centers in Arkansas and over 700 across the United States. As a child-focused, multi-disciplinary response to child abuse, the Child Safety Center of White County was established to prevent the re-victimization of sexually abused children by the system’s response to their cases. Given the delicate nature of the Centers work and the immense needs of the children the center serves, there is always an overwhelming need for supplies. With the generosity of the community, The Wives of Armor were able to stuff the equivalent of 10 squad cars and give over $1,100 in gift cards to the Center. These items included drinks, snacks, paper towels, tissues, art supplies, children’s games, and much more! The Child Safety Center will be able to use the donations for the children to remain comfortable while the system responds to child abuse situations. The Wives of Armor, Inc. is a 501C(3) nonprofit organization comprised of law enforcement officer wives. The missions of the Wives of Armor is serving, honoring, and ministering to officers their families and surrounding communities.
