David Johnston Joins Simmons First Bank of Searcy Board of Directors

Searcy, AR - - Simmons First Bank of Searcy announced today that David Johnston, owner of Ag Chem Direct, Inc and Lake Ice Company has been appointed to the Simmons First Bank of Searcy Board of Directors according to Brooks Davis, president and chief executive officer of Simmons First Bank of Searcy.

Johnston is a graduate of Arkansas State University where he received his degree in marketing.

Davis noted, “I’ve had the privilege of knowing David and his wife Michele for more than ten years. They are both pillars in our community. David has proven himself as a successful business owner since stepping out on his own more than ten years ago, and he has also been an active leader in our community. I am honored that he has agreed to join our board of directors.”

Johnston founded Ag Chem Direct, Inc. in 1999 and added DH Blue Sky, Inc. doing business as Lake Ice Company to his business ownership portfolio in 2006.

He is a member of the Agricultural Marketing Association and the Southern Crop Protection Association and serves on the Reddy Ice Distributors Board representing nearly 150 distributors nationwide. In addition, he is a member of the Searcy Chamber of Commerce, Searcy Regional Economic Development 100 for the Future and has supported the Junior Auxiliary of Searcy and the Habitat for Humanity of White County.
